What is our Homebound program?

Fayette County Library provides free delivery of materials to homebound patrons. To be eligible for the Homebound Program an individual must be:

  • A resident of Fayette County, WV
  • A Fayette County Library cardholder in good standing or if you do not have a library card we can get you one.
  • Homebound due to age or long-term illness, injury, or disability.

Materials available for delivery include:

  • Books
  • Magazines
  • Movies on DVD
  • Audiobooks

How does the program work?

Patrons must choose their own titles and submit a list to Kim Massey, Assistant Director.  We will pull the items and prepare them for delivery.

You can find the titles and items we have in our collection at our webpage at fayette.lib.wv.us

Your list of items wanted can be submitted by email or over the phone or mailed to the address below, at least 3-4 business days in advance of your desired delivery date.

Materials can be delivered as often as four weeks apart.  Patrons should request enough items to last them that length of time.
Renewals are possible as long as the items are not on hold for another patron.

Failure to return any library items will result in cessation of delivery until the items are found and returned to the library.

For further information on this or any other service, please contact Kim Massey at 304-465-5664.
